Play the Winning Rose Lottery
Our flagship fundraising scheme, the Winning Rose Lottery, launched in September 2025. This is the long-awaited successor to our 100 Club scheme, which we had to suspend amid the Coronavirus pandemic.
With a weekly draw, every £1 ticket has a one in fifty chance of winning a prize – and a shot at winning the £25,000 jackpot!
Every ticket helps fund our local campaigns here in Penistone and Stocksbridge, backing Marie Tidball MP and our local council team to keep delivering in our communities.
Support our Fundraising
Penistone and Stocksbridge Labour Party works hard to deliver on your priorities. However, our MP and councillors can only continue this vital mission for as long as we are successful in getting them elected… and this is an increasingly expensive business. As little as £1.50 a year per paid-up member of the Labour Party is distributed to constituencies by Head Office, so we must fundraise at a local level to ensure we have the financial firepower needed to keep up our work for our communities across Penistone and Stocksbridge.
Every year brings at least one set of elections – General Elections to elect our MP, Local Elections for Barnsley Metropolitan Borough Council and Sheffield City Council, and Town and Parish Council Elections in 15 local communities across the constituency – not to mention by-elections, which can happen at any time!
Reform and the Tories can call on millionaires for support, and regularly do so, with big donations from lobbyists and big businesses. Our strength comes in numbers, from the sheer people-power generated by our many members and supporters.
Aside from the Winning Rose Lottery above, here are three other ways you can help out locally:
Support our Work
Penistone and Stocksbridge Labour Party are active all year round, not just at election time.
- Communicating. We are out talking to our communities about how we’re delivering on their priorities, sharing recent wins and big announcements – like the launch of the Stocksbridge Hopper Bus or Barnsley’s Love Where You Live initiative.
- Campaigning. We regularly run petitions and street surveys on specific local issues, to build the case for the change people need – whether it’s local bus services in Stocksbridge, car parking charges in Langsett, or better parks in Chapeltown, we’re fighting for you.
- Casework. We’re out listening to local people’s problems and concerns so that we can put them in touch with their local elected representatives and get the help they need – we’ve helped people get repairs to social housing, apply for bus passes, access cost-of-living support, and much more.
